CLEANING CHECKLIST 2012    - (This is what our cleaners are required to do for a "standard" cleaning)

(Check each box, sign/date and give to mgr. in order to get paid)

ÿ        Knock every time. If people are inside after ck-out time, ask if you can begin cleaning in a room not occupied; call or text mgr if any problems.
Lock doors and do not let anybody in until you are finished cleaning

ÿ        Conduct a thorough walk-through; call or text manager ASAP if any damage or missing items

ÿ        Living areas, e.g., living room, halls, den, beds, etc

ÿ        Windex all glass tables (no TVs); Windex any smudges on mirrors, Windex smudges on the front door & sliders (inside only)

ÿ        Dust all horizontal surfaces

ÿ        Vacuum - couches & chairs w/pillows – (vac underneath all cushions)

ÿ        Curtains & blinds - open if nice view, e.g., ocean

ÿ        Sleeper sofa - open up & ck for sheets - (if any, remove and take home; put a note on ck list)  

ÿ        Closets - ck for left items, also check drawers & under all beds  

ÿ        Febreze - all couches, chair cushions & beds spreads - (spray Lysol only if making beds, ensure no hair on mattress)

ÿ        Floors - sweep, vacuum then Swiffer - (including steps)

ÿ        Porch

ÿ        Spray Lysol on the rugs, porch pillows, and porch furniture

ÿ        Wipe porch tables if spills, remove trash and sweep if needed

ÿ        Kitchen

ÿ        Fridge/Freeze - throw out perishables including alcoholic beverages; wipe spills - (don’t do a thorough cleaning); wipe outside

ÿ        Microwave - wipe in/out - (don’t forget the top inside)

ÿ        Oven - wipe inside (if needed) & outside

ÿ        Range - top and outside, don’t forget to clean under burners - (if glass, use glass top cleaner)

ÿ        Dishwasher - put away all dishes, wipe outside

ÿ        Sink - use stainless steel cleaner (ensure you clean the faucet & behind)

ÿ        Counter tops & cabinets - wipe all counters but only wipe major grime & spills on cabinets

ÿ        Toaster - turn upside over sink to remove bread crumbs

ÿ        Coffee maker - clean and ensure no coffee grinds left inside

ÿ        Trash can - throw out bag, replace with new one

ÿ        Floors - sweep, vac, then mop with wet Swiffer

ÿ        Bathrooms

ÿ        Mirrors & counters - wipe all

ÿ        Sinks - (also behind faucets)

ÿ        Shower & tubs - vacuum for hair then scrub tub, shower doors and shower floor - (remove all toiletries and soaps)

ÿ        Toilets - clean underneath, sides, behind, inside, seat, and lid - (fold toilet paper)

ÿ        Washer/Dryer - ck for items left (remove lint) - wipe off top  

ÿ        Floors - sweep, vac, then mop using wet Swiffer

ÿ        Conduct final walk-through:  - (ensure nothing is left behind, e.g., cleaning supplies) 

ÿ        Place all trash outside in trash can or dumpster

ÿ        If you find any valuables, take home but make a note on this check-list as they will need to be returned to owners

ÿ        Set A/C for 72 when leaving - Secure ALL windows and doors! Fax or scan Check-List to Mgr.
